How many “I”s are

__ One for each human thought on Earth
__ As many as there are "you's", plus one
__ Practically none, they're mostly fictitious
__ The last 3 of the above

If you said 1), it simply isn’t true. Depending on the moment, one “I” thinks something, another “I” feels something and then another “I” does something different. Full integration is rare. Observe yourself and you’ll see.
ReplyDeleteIf you opted for 2), that’s good. Each though can take the “I” form and assert itself. But who is really doing the thinking?
If you said 3), that’s OK, because each “I”-thought inevitably creates a “you” and then applies its thought to others, but maybe not to itself!
If you picked only 4), you may be relatively correct, but until you experience it in yourself, we have to give all due credit to each “I”, even though it may be illusory.
If you chose 5), it’s a better bet, and that’s what we thought was most appropriate. Follow our detailed articles on Self-Awareness on this blog for in-analysis of the “I”-question!
